We are very pleased to announce that we have been nominated for the Best Film Programming and Best Marketing & Publicity awards in the Cinema For All Film Society of the Year Awards 2014.

Nominations in two categories also makes us eligible for the prestigious Engholm Prize for Film Society or Community Cinema of the Year, which has been awarded to the fantastic Newcastle Community Cinema for the last two consecutive years, however we’ll have to patiently wait another month before we find out if we have any chance of bringing the Prize to West Yorkshire.
We also eagerly await the outcome of the Filmbank Audience Award which could see us presented with £1,000 of funding for the coming year. We would like to thank everyone who submitted their recommendations and thank you for your continued support of Minicine.
The Film Society of the Year Awards will be presented at Showroom Workstation in Sheffield on Saturday 27th September at 6PM. The presentation is FREE to attend and tickets are available here.
We would certainly appreciate your support on the night, it’s always an enjoyable event, and the evening offers an ideal opportunity to discover the exceptional work being carried out by film societies and community cinema across the UK.
