Audience Scores – March 2014 // ZIFT

t6vpayp1_mb094uLast month we concluded our Modern Monochrome season with a screening of Javor Gardev’s Bulgarian crime-noir Zift (2008) and a selection of imprisonment themed shorts.

Outside dir. Jose Luis Hugo – 2.24

The Me Bird dir. 18bis – 2.76

Dinner and a Movie dir. Ben Aston – 3.76

Zift (2008) dir. Javor Gardev – 4.47

Zift is a darker and more violent film than we’re used to showing and one that we felt may be divisive for our audience. However, the film ultimately proved to be a hit with viewers as it scored an impressive 4.47 and became one our top scoring films of all time, along with the documentary and the animation and the french drama and the anthropomorphic turtles.

You’re certainly an ecletic bunch, aren’t you? 🙂
